Easy. If you have a line graph and you, say, are doing a graph on how many fruits are eaten in a month. Then lemons could be low while melons are high, then they slowly change round, so melons are low and lemons are high.

Hope this helped.

Improved Answer:-

If they are simultaneous equations then the lines will intercept af a point on the graph

What is the smallest number of intercepts possible for a graph of a linear equation in 2 variables?

The graph must have at least one intercept.

How do you graph a line in slope intercept for?

1) You write the equation in slope-intercept form, if it isn't in that form already. 2) An easy way to graph it is to start with the y-intercept. For example, if the intercept is +5, you graph the point (0, 5). Then you add an additional point, according to the slope. For example, if the slope is 1/2, you go 2 units to the right, and one up, and graph a point there.

State the slope and the y-intercept for the graph of the equation y-2?

If that should be y = 2 the slope is 0 and the y intercept is 2.

How do you graph the line if y equals 3x plus 2?

you put the y intercept at 2, the x intercept at -2/3 and you join those two points.

How do you graph the linear equation X-Y equals -2?

If: x-y = -2 then the x intercept is -2 and the y intercept is 2 So the points are: (-2, 0) and (0, 2)

How do you graph x2 plus 4y2 equals 36 At least how to set it up to graph What is it?

this is not a valid equation. I assume you mean: 2X+8Y=36 in which case the graph is a line with a slope of 1/4 and a y-intercept at 9/2 or 2X+4Y+2=36 in which case the graph is still a line with a slope of 1/2 and a y-intercept at 17/2

How do you graph parallel and perpendicular lines?

If you want to graph parallel lines, they need to have the same slope (Ex. 2x+2 and 2x+3)- parallel lines cannot have the same y-intercept because the two line would be the same. Perpendicular lines slopes need have to be opposite reciprocals (Ex. -2x+4 and +1/2x+3)- perpendicular lines can have the same y-intercepts, it doesn't make a difference.

How do you find the y-intercept of a linear equation?

First write it in the "slope-intercept" form : y = mx + c Then the y-intercept is (0, c)
