before even buying a board you have to get the right size (length & width) and once you start you have to know the angles to place the board when going down the hill, bend your knees at a certain angle and timing.
You can calculate the acceleration (speed) you will go on down a slope at any given place, you can calculate the fastest you can possibly go, you can calculate how far you will be able to jump off of ramps, and you can predict how much time you will need to slow down. There are lots of ways math can be used in snowboarding.
Math connects to snowboarding because of the degrees of rotation tricks require. Such as a 360 would be one full turn. Or a 900 would be 2 and half turns and so on.
