How many 16x16 inch bricks would you need to lay fa a 12 x 20 foot patio?

135 At 12 feet across, that's 12*12=144 inches across. That's 144/16=9 bricks across. At 20 feet long, that's 20*12=240 inches long. That's 240/16=15 bricks long. 9 bricks across times 15 bricks long is 9*15=135 An easier way (but slightly less clear way) to do it would be the following. 20'*12'=240'^2 (240'^2)*(12"*12")=34560"^2 (34560"^2)/(16"*16")=135 units (bricks)

The patio is 15 feet by 8 feet the bricks are 24 x 24 how many do you need?

First determine the square footage occupied by the patio ... 15 x 8 = 120 sq. ft. Next determine the square footage of your bricks. They are 24 inches wide by 24 inches long ....OR 2 feet wide by 2 feet long (pretty BIG bricks !) .... 4 sq. ft. each. IF you can cut your bricks without shattering them, you would need a minimum of 120 divided by 4 = 30 bricks. If you shatter any, you might need a few extra. Note that you need to cut the bricks because each is 2 feet wide and one of your dimenstions is an odd number (15). So, you could use 7 whole bricks, and one half brick to cover the 15 feet on that side of the patio. You'd have to cut 2 bricks in half to fill the last foot down the 8 foot side. Hope this helps.

How many bricks do you need to make a 24 foot circle if each brick is 12 inches long?

The circumference of a circle with a 24 foot radius is 2*pi*24 = 150.8 ft (approx) The length of each brick is 12 inches = 1 foot. So 151 bricks are needed.

How many bricks would be required to edge a garden that is 37 feet long?

That would depend on the length of bricks that are used. Since the average brick is about seven inches long, I'll use that length to calculate how many bricks you will need. First, multiply the length of your garden by 12 to get the length in inches: 37 x 12 = 444 inches. Then divide the 444 by 7 (the length of the bricks) which will give you 63.43. So the number of bricks you will need (if they are 7 in long) will be 64. If the bricks are a different length, just use the same formula to calculate how many you will need, or post a message to me on my message board, and I will calculate it for you.
