The room is 8' high and the sheets are 8' long; that's convenient, because it means if they're mounted vertically the only dimension we have to worry about is the 4' width.

It will take 3 4' sheets to cover 12 feet of wall, and 5 4' sheets to cover 20 feet of wall. Since the room will have 2 12' walls and 2 20' walls, that means it will take 16 sheets altogether to cover 1 side of the wall and another 16 if you need to also cover the other side of the wall. That may be modified slightly if there are any openings in the walls, such as windows or doors.

How many sheets of plywood would you need for a 13 by 13 foot room?

For an 8' ceiling you will need 13 sheets.

How would you find out how many sheets of sheetrock to buy for a 12ft width 16 feet long and 8 foot high walls.?

2 of the walls are each 12' wide and 8' high. Each of them needs 12 x 8 = 96 square ft to cover it.2 of them need 2 x 96 = 192 square feet of sheet rock. The other 2 walls are 16' wide and 8' high. Each of them needs 16 x 8 = 128 square ft to cover it.Those 2 walls need 2 x 128 = 256 square feet of sheet rock. For the 4 walls all together, you need 192 + 256 = 448 square feet.I'm not sure whether the sheetrock comes in the usual 4' x 8' sheets, like the other kinds of paneling. If so, that's very nice, because theheight of the walls is 8', so the sheets exactly fit side-by-side andstanding up, without cutting anything. If that's the case, then in order to go all the way around the 4 walls, you need 16' + 12' + 16' + 12' = 56 feet . . . 14 sheets of rock, withthe 8-ft dimension of the sheets standing up.The area is (14 sheets) times (8' x 4' per sheet) = 14 x 32 = 448 square feet, and that jibes with the earlier calculation, 12 lines above this one.Of course, you have to cut the rock for the doors and windows; otherwiseyou'll have a problem getting in and out of the room.

How many sheets of plywood do i need to cover a 30' BY 10' WALL?

It depends on the size of the sheets that you get!

How many 4X8 sheets of Plywood do you need to cover a room 27x27?

27 x 27 = 729 square feet 4 x 8 = 32 square feet You need 22.79 sheets to cover the floor OR the ceiling. If you intend to cover any walls, then in order to help you with THAT bill of materials, we would need to know the floor-to-ceiling height.

How many sheets of plywood do you need to cover a 12' by 16' rectangle?

How much drywall do you need for a room that's 1000 sq ft?

You will need three more bits of information. 1. How high are the walls. 2. What is the length of the room. 3. What is the width of the room. Let me give you an example. Height of walls = 8 ft. Length = 50 ft. Width = 20 ft. Each piece of drywall is 8' X 4'. In this case, the height of the walls exactly matches the height of the drywall; so you won't have to make any cuts in that dimension. Figure out how many sheets you will need for the 50' walls. 50' / 4' = 12 1/2 pieces of drywall. There are two of those 50' walls; so multiply by 2. 12 1/2 X 2 = 25 pieces. Now for the short walls. 20' / 4' = 5 pieces of drywall. Again, there are 2 short walls, so multiply by 2. 5 X 2 = 10 pieces of dry wall. Add what you need for the long walls and short walls. 25 + 10 = 35 drywall sheets. Answer: 35 drywall sheets.

How many metal sheets of 8 feet by 4 feet will needed to make a 50000 liters tank?

Firstly, convert the litres to cubic feet 50,000 litres = 1,765.7 Divide by 8 (the maximum height of walls 1 sheet high, square area of floor must be 220.7 As the square are of the sheets is 8 x 4 = 32 then we need 6.896 sheets in the base So now we know that a 'floor' made up of 7 sheets. If we line this up with their longest sides touching then we will have a floor 8 feet wide and 7 x 4 feet long. (This will measure 224 sq feet) A wall 8 feet tall on all sides will give a volume of 224 x 8 = 1792 sq feet. This is equal to 50,744 litres (so there's a little space at the top. The ends will each need walls made of need two sheets standing upright and the long sides can each be made of 7 sheets standing upright. so we not have 2 on each end (4) and 2 each on the two walls and the floors (21). This gives a total of 25 sheets. -- NOTE -- I'm presuming that the sheets will be joined by welding which doesn't require overlapping, and not by rivetting, which does. Overlapping would reduce the volume.
