The first answer to this question comes from a contributor who is not only
offensive in his attitude, but wrong in his math as well.
The question doesn't say "5 square foot pieces". It says "5 foot square pieces".
From that terminology, we understand that each piece is a square, with 5-foot sides
and an area of 25 square feet.
It takes (400/25) = 16 of these pieces to cover an area of 400 square feet.
170m is a length. A square foot is an area. You cannot calculate how many lengths are in an area.
The area of a square or rectangle is the product of its length and width. The area of a square having sides 2 foot in length is 4 square feet.
Is this a trick question? a square foot is an area of one foot times one foot. 50 foot is a measure of distance. Not area.
There are 1 foot in one square foot. A square foot is a unit of area that measures the area of a square with sides that are each 1 foot long.
foot (ft) - unit of distance square foot (ft2) - unit of area
A foot is a unit of distance and a square foot is a unit of area !
10.5
Area = 36*26 = 936 square feet.
The floor area is 130 square feet.
1 square foot = 144 square inches. 3/4 square foot = 108 square inches.
Use the formula area = pi times radius2 to get the area. The radius is half the diameter. A foot is 12 inches, a square foot is 144 square inches.Use the formula area = pi times radius2 to get the area. The radius is half the diameter. m3 is the unit of volume, where as square foot is of area. There is no relation.
