If the bricks are in feet then 51/2 bricks would be needed.
To do this you would need to know the area of a brick and the area of the wall. Then you divide the area of the wall by the area of a brick. There are approximately 60 bricks per square metre.
The 12' X 12' area covers 144'. A single 8' X 4' brick covers 32'. 144/32 = 4.5. So you would need 4 and a half bricks to cover the area. If you had to use whole bricks, you would need 5.
The question, as stated cannot be answered. You need to know two dimensions of the bricks to find the area of each brick, convert that area into square feet (if necessary) and then divide 256 by the area of each brick. Bricks are not usually square so it would not be appropriate for me to assume that the bricks are 16" by 16".
About 14 bricks should do it.

The answer will depend on the size of the bricks!
488 bricks.
450 bricks

900 of them.
no .of bricks = area of room /area of bricks area of room = 9 X12 X12 X12 inches ( 1 foot =12 inches ) area of bricks =3 X8 no.0f bricks =9 X12 X12 X12 inches /3 X 8 =648
It depends on the dimensions used for the measurements of the bricks. If the bricks are 6 ft x 9 ft (and there is nothing in the question to indicate otherwise), then 6 bricks will be enough.
Each brick is 27 square inches. 27*434=11,718 square inches of bricks.
