I have had Oscars for about 3 and a half years now and I have always kept my tank right around 80 degrees F. The temperature can safely range from 75-85 degrees F, but 79 is really where you wanna keep it.
It will likely get quite large, but will be deformed (especially in the fins), and will likely die early, at around 12-14 inches long.
A well set up and properly filtered 30 gallon tank would accommodate 1 oscar. It is recommended to have up to 55 gallon tank as they can grow up to 18 inches.
