How many developmental math classes you have to take in college before you able to go to regular?

Many colleges have 2 or 3 levels of developmental math before a student will be ready for College Algebra I. For students who missed the important basic skills in middle school and high school, learning all of the math in 3 quarters can be very, very difficult. It is not unusual to have to take the lower level courses over again.
To get through the developmental courses, you will need some serious study skills.
You should begin taking careful notes, writing down examples, learning the properties and the procedures. Build a notebook of your skills and add to it every day. If your school has a tutoring center, do your math homework and bring it there every day. Good Luck.
