Unfortunately, 0.5 m cube is an ambiguous term It can mean a cube measuring 0.5m along each edge, or one whose total volume is 0.5 m3 (edges of 0.794 m approx).

In the first case, 0.5m * 0.5m * 0.5m = 0.125 m3 = 0.125*109 mm3

or 1.25*108 mm3 or 125 million mm3.

In the second case, you have 0.5m3 which equals 500 million mm3.
