There would be 5000 feet squared. The reason as to why people put squared after each answer is because area refers to a two dimensional space, whereas 100 feet or 50 feet alone refers to a one dimensional property, or baisically a line with no width or depth, just length. Incase you don't know how to calculate area it's simply length times the height, or in your case 100 feet times 50 feet.
