How much carpet do you need for 12'3 x 25'6 room?

If the carpet comes in 12 foot widths than you are going to need to buy a lot more than you are going to use (unless you can accept that 3 inch part of the floor being covered with carpet that is laid at a different angle - and there is no pattern or "grain" to fit)
