The area required would depend primarily on the efficiency of the system and on its location. A photovoltaic system works better in a desert in the southwest than in Seattle, Washington.
A 5kW array can have any voltage, the voltage it produces depends on several factors, including the design of the array, the cells used, the load, and the amount of sun.
Yes and no. There used to be a hobby kit with all the materials (ceramic tube electric furnace, one bare silicon wafer, dopant chemicals, metal plating chemicals, wafer scoring scribe, wire, and chemical trays) and instructions to make 8 small silicon photovoltaic cells. But it has been out of production for more than 25 years. It would be very difficult (but not completely impossible) to replicate something similar to this kit and make your own photovoltaic cells now, but certain materials would probably need to be purchased in prohibitively large quantity for an individual.
That would be a wedge.
binary system
It depends on the surface finish of the workpiece. For machined surface a magnetic base dial indicator is used. For rough or un-machined surfaces a surface gauge is used.
There are not enough measurements to calculate square yards. It would need to be 7500 by (another measurement) to calculate.
Surface area
total surface area is all of the area. ex. for a square pyramid it would be the area of the square on the bottom and the four triangle sides lateral surface area is all the surface area EXCEPT the base. ex. for a square pyramid it would be the area of the four sides of the pyramid. the bottom square is NOT included. for a triangular prism it would be the area of the three rectangle sides, NOT the two triangular sides
square inches
150 square ft
Then the surface area of the solid would be measured in square feet
The circumference of that cylinder would be 31.4156 meters, and with a height of 4 meters, the outside surface of the sides would be 125.66 square meters. Does a cylinder have both an inside and outside surface? There is no thickness at all to the sides. Maybe it needs to be doubled, to be 251.32 square meters so we get both inside and outside surface, but I think not. A cylindrical *prism* would have a top and bottom, each having a surface of 78.54 square meters, for a total of 282.74 square meters.
"Land". 70% of the Earth's surface is covered by sea. If you are looking for surface numbers: the total Earth surface is 510 million square kilometers, so 1/3 would be 168 million square kilometers.

The answer is in the first part of your question. By this I mean that surface area would be measured in square units. For example, the surface area of the rectangle was 32cm squared.
Surface area = 4*pi*122 = 576*pi square units
square foot
Square yards would be a surface area measurement (3ft x 3ft), to measure surface area of a flat surface measure the length and width (in yards) then simply the two together .for example 5yards x 2 yards = 10 square yards=10 yards2To measure the surface area of a nonuniform surface you would need very specific tools and programs, that are not easily available.Measuring the square yards of sand is very unusual and what you may mean is "how do I measure cubic yards of sand?"
