When you start pouring the topsoil in, the garden will probably look full long before
you reach 16 cubic feet. That's because a lot of air gets mixed in with it in the process
of pouring. So if you quit as soon as the plot looks full, it won't be too many days before
it settles and sinks. You have to work it while pouring to get some of the air out, and
then pour until it looks like it's heaped too high, to allow for settling later. Remember
the math: 16 cubic feet is what you want to fill.
