Convert the fraction to a decimal by dividing, and then move the decimal point two places to the right. Rememberr, perCENT means "out of 100", so you're really making it into a fraction of 100. So if you have 5/8, for example, you get 5/8 = .625, and that's 62.5%, because 65.2/100 is also .625! In fact, the percentage sign came from the division slash / and the number 100! 1/2 = .5 = 50%, 2/3 = .6666.... = 66.666... % (never ends! but a lot of people round it to 67%)
