# How would you write a fraction that is equivalent to a given fraction?

Take a fraction, and multiply (or divide) the numerator and the denominator by the same non-zero integer, and you will have a fraction with the same value as the original (equivalent fraction).

Example: 75/100; divide numerator and denominator by 25: 75 Ã· 25 = 3. 100 Ã· 25 = 4, so the equivalent fraction is 3/4.
