It might depend on the state you are in, but if you are an hourly employee, and Over time exempt, you should be paid for all 96 hours. Again, over time laws differ by state, but typically you would be paid time and a half for about 16 of those hours.

Hourly employees are usually compensated at time-and-a-half for hours worked over the normal 40 or 80 hours pay period. So you should get 80 hours pay PLUS 16 hours at the premium rate, which would equal 104 straight time hours paid. The caveat here is whatever your written contract as an hourly states - if it says there is no overtime rate of pay, then you would receive straight time for all hours worked.

Salaried employees would be compensated just 80 hours regardless of how many hours spent on the job.
