If the tiles are 13 in square, an unusual size, there will be 16 one way and 14 the other (ignoring fractions of a tile) so you need 224 tiles.
You would need 216 tile. Figure how many 2-inch tiles are in one square foot: there are six across and six up/down. That's 36 tiles per square foot. The floor is 3 feet by 2 feet, which is 6 square feet. 6 square feet x 36 tiles is 216 tiles.

It would be 9 tiles wide by 12 tiles long. That gives you a total of 108 tiles.
Depends how big the tiles are!
240 square tiles are needed
you need to know how wide the floor is in addition to how long. Number of tiles is lenght x width
152 sq.ft. of tile will cover the floor, you need to account for waste and defects in the tile you should also planning on keeping some extra tiles once you are done, they are often discontinued and unable to find in the event one is damaged
The answer depends on the shape of the 30 square feet area. If it is in the form of a strip that is 5 inches wide and 72 feet long and you don't want mosaics with little offcuts, then you will require 144 tiles.
6 inches is 1/2 a foot, so in each foot of width we can fit 2 tiles. Like wise for length, so the area is (assuming the tiling area is perfectly square, which it probably is not since it's a bathroom, so you'd have to remove the area of the toilet, sink and bathtub, etc.) 10 tiles by 16 tiles, or 10x16=160 tiles.

To figure that out you simply multiply:15ft x 12ft = 180ft2And divide:180ft2 / 1ft2 = 180Norman needs 180 tiles.
square feet is best understood (for me) in terms of tiles. one tile is a foot long and a foot wide. If you tile a floor with these tiles and you notice that one side of the floor (lenghtwise) is fifteen tiles long and the other side is fifteen tiles across. this means that the room is 15X15 tiles. since our handydandy tiles are 1X1 (recall one foot by one foot) this means that our floor is actually 15X15 square feet. >> don't forget that Ft. squared is math terminology for ft. X ft. (or 15ft.x 15ft.) The dimensions of a room that is 15ft. sq. would probably be around 4X4ft. that is ittsybittsy
