Asparagus goes very nicely with thinly sliced ham - you could wrap slices of prosciutto around three asparagus stalks for each serving. Or, sprinkle the asparagus with chopped hard-cooked eggs and some toasted slivered almonds. Crumbled blue cheese or slices of sharp cheddar would be very nice, or you could serve the asparagus on a circle of alternating tomato and sweet onion slices.
