If you and your girlfriend have past problems and parent problems which reflect on your relationship and you even broke up once what can you do now to change it for the good into a positive direction?

It's time to grow up and sit down with the parents! The parents usually have the last say. Parents generally love their children and want the best for them and that involves getting a good education and be self sufficient out in a tough world and so, their biggest fear is their son or daughter will fall in love too soon and give up on good opportunities of education and possibly a career for the future. Parents aren't ogres, and they aren't trying to cause problems. I don't know you, so these are only suggests: Always be well groomed (no matter what the fad is out there) If you have nose rings, earrings, lose them when you meet the parents! If you have tattoos, then hide them the best you can. I know, I know, "you should never judge a book by it's cover" but when you are battling parents, you'd better be just as good on the cover as the pages inside that book. LOL If you are cheeky, swear to her parents or it's your parents, then you will only fuel the fire. Yelling and screaming at parents are included in this. However frustrating, stay calm! I suggest you and you girlfriend form a mature plan. Decide what career you might like to enter into (you don't have to be rich, but just a steady worker and can provide fairly well for a family) and that means the both of you need to get a good education. Make a plan to acquire that education and that includes her. Decide how much you love each other and decide to get that education, get work, then get engaged and possibly married. Go to the parents with the plan. What you are suppost to be doing here is acting mature and when you are, there is a thought out plan going on, so put your head together with you girlfriend, be honest, get that plan working for you both and confront both sets of parents. DON'T YELL, SCREAM OR BE RUDE! There is truth that just sometimes (and I say just sometimes) people can be in love for a lifetime through elementary school on, and who are we to judge. However, if you are a minor you need to go with the flow. If you are a couple that truly loves each other then you can also wait until you are of age. Love can conquer all if it's true love.
