Then subtract 38 from 180 , which 142 .

142 is the total of the two equal angles R & S . So divide 142 by 2 = 71

So angles R(y) & S (y) are both 71 degrees.

Remember with an Isosceles Triangle, not only are two sides of equal length , but two angles are of equal size.
