north
Going clockwise... 210 degrees. Going anti-clockwise... 150 degrees.
Turning something 'clockwise' would be turning it in the direction the hands on a clock turns. 'Counter-clockwise' would be turning it the opposite direction of a clock. I always remember anti-clockwise from clockwise, by which way a clock turns for clockwise, and the opposite way of a clock turning for anti-clockwise.
counterclockwise
anti clock wise if you want to unscrew the moon
Anti clockwise means to the left. clockwise goes to the right. if you get stuck look at a clock. the hand pointing left is anti clockwise. Go to the right it's clockwise.
3 quarters clockwise is 270 degrees clockwise or 90 degrees anti(counter)-clocwise
On a compass, 90 degrees anti-clockwise (or counterclockwise) from a reference point, such as north, would lead you to face west. Starting from north (0 degrees), moving 90 degrees anti-clockwise turns you to the left, resulting in a westward direction.
the follow the clock direction
Minus 270 degrees which is equivalent to a quarter anti-clockwise turn, or +90 degrees.
The word anticlockwise, can be seen from the prefix anti which literally means against. For example in a clock a clockwise direction moves or proceeds to the same direction for example in trigonometric ratios or the wall clock. This means anti clock wise is proceeding to the direction or the opposite direction.
It is the same as counter clock wise. The hands on a clock, starting from a position at the top of the clock-face, move in a circle to the right, so counter clock wise would be moving to the left, in the opposite direction.
Because if it did, it wouldn't be anti-clockwise anymore.
