I am also 5' and 96 lbs. I am a mother who nurses, eats normally, and is not too active, but I don't sit around eating...Ok, I do indulge sometimes. ;) I think I'm normal. I haven't had any doctor say differently. A Dr. would say something, especially since I am nursing. I would say that I could gain some muscle and the low weight is partly due to the fact that I don't have a lot of muscle. I do have some spare fat around my stomach and hips, but I'm not complaining. I don't want to be a stick. I just need to lose the fat and replace it with toned muscle. I could be healthier as far as gaining muscle, and muscle weighs more than fat. I think your fine as long as you are eating the good kind of calories from fruits, veggies, protein, and carbs...not junk food. it depends on Ur age I'm 12 years old and i weigh 88 pounds I'm 5'0 i think Ur healthy exercise and go if u want go on a diet but u don't really need to go on 1 hope this helps Abs
