A 6.5% roadway grade means that for each 100 feet traveled, the road rises or descends 6.5 feet. While that might not sound like much, consider that a road might descend for a mile or more in mountainous areas. In traveling just 1000 feet down such a road, you will descend or rise 65 feet. So the answer is yes, that is a pretty precipitous (or steep) grade.
You can easily draw a slope defined in percentages using a grid or a piece of graph paper.
No they are not steep
A deep valley with steep sides would be called a gorge or canyon.
A steep gradient will force the water to flow downhill faster.
The land is steep if the contour lines are close together
A is like a plain except that it is cut by a steep canyon?
of course 65 is a passing grade 64 or below is failing , 65 is passing!
A cliff.
65% or D
C grade
You should change down to a lower gear, 3rd gear or if the grade is very steep 2nd gear.
Probably a D grade.
shift to a lower gear
Usually, it will be a grade of 'D+'
65
PF-65 = Proof-65 a grade that can be given a proof coin.
If the motor is turning over as the car decends A STEEP GRADE it is normal. If the motor is not turning as the car decends a steep grade then your clutch is not holding.
Depending on how steep of a grade, it may be normal operation. The seat belts use a swinging weight in them to lock during an accident. If the grade is steep enough, the weight may be in the locked position.
