No, 56 is not a Prime number. It is a composite number. A prime number can only be divided by 1 and itself. 56 can also be divided by 2, 4, 7, 8, 14, and 28.

56 is a composite number because it is even so definitely it has other factors aside from 1 and itself which is 2.
