A cardioid gives a good approximation of the heart shape. It is defined by the following equations:

x(t) = 2r[cos(t) - 1/2cos(2t)] and y(t) = 2r[sin(t) - 1/2 sin(2t)]

However, the shape does not have the pointy end.

A better representation is given by (x2+y2-1)3-x2y3=0 but it is a lot harder to construct.
