Height is neither mass nor volume. Height is a measure of how tall something is, mass is a measure of how much matter is in an object, volume is a measure of how much space something takes up.

Sometimes height is used to find volume. For example, the volume of a box is equal to the length times the width times the height. The height may even be used to help find the mass. For example, if the density of a box is 3 grams per in2, and the width is 2 inches, the length is 2 inches, and the height is 3 inches, the mass would be volume times density, would would be (2 x 2 x 3) x 3, which would be 36 grams.

How do you find the mass of a cube?

To find the mass of a cube by multiplying the density times the volume of the cube. The volume can be found by multiplying the height times the height times the length.

How do you find the thickness with height length and mass?

Volume= Length x Height x thickness = Mass ---------- Density So, Thickness = Mass ---------------------------------- Density x Length x Height

What the formulas of density and volume?

Volume = Length x Width x Height, for a cube and Density = Mass / Volume.

Why mass divide by height is equal to volume?

It is not: so the question is nonsense.

How do you find the density of a rectangle?

Density = Mass/Volume So for a rectangle, find its mass, then its volume (using length x height x depth).

How do you find volume of a piece of wood?

You times the length by the width by the height to find volume. To find the density do mass divided by volume.

How do you work out the density of a solid aluminium cylinder the radius is 38mm and the height is 16.7mm and the volume is 75758.88mm3?

You cannot. You have the volume but no information on the mass. And density = mass/volume (in the appropriate units of measurement).

A block of metal has a width of 3.2 a length of 17.1 and height of 3.4 its mass is 1.4 Calculate the density of the metal?

what is the unit for the mass density = mass over volume volume= length*height*width check the units whether you need to convert or no and then complete it

Is there a relationship between height and mass?

Indeed there is a relationship. Density is equal to the mass divided by the volume (height times width times length). So, height is equal to mass divided by (height times length times width) or H= M/(HLW)

How do you calculate an oil spill on land?

Density = mass ÷ volume, which can also be written as Density = Mass ÷ (length x width x height). Height is your thickness, so isolating the variable gets you Height = Mass ÷ Length ÷ Width ÷ Density.

What equals density times volume?

I think height times width.

What is the density of a metal block that has a mass of 525g and a volume of 50cm3?

525/50 = 10.5 g/cm3
