It varies: some people at good at both, some are good at one but not the other and some are not particularly good at either. And on top of that there are some who make an effort and others who don't.
normal, its terrible if they want people to be green n stuff
Don't see why not.
Engineering does not involve a lot of writing, mostly it is mathematical calculations. Anyway, stop worrying about whether it is normal for you to be a terrible writer, and instead, do more reading, and see how it is done. People learn how to write by observing how writers do it. Try a Stephen King novel, they're lots of fun.
If by "left brained" you mean, has a dominant left cerebral hemisphere, most people have dominant left cerebral hemispheres, which is why most people are right handed (note that the left cerebral hemisphere controls the right side of the body; the nerves cross to the opposite side). In a sense, I can agree with your statement, because most people actually are terrible at writing. But it isn't their left cerebral hemispheres which are to blame. It's just that most people don't care enough about writing to learn how to do it well.
it's called a mathematician. The study math
People who are more dominant in the left side of their brain are more logical and are better at math. Those that favor their right side are more creative and better at writing.
Egyptians only used hieroglyphics when there writing needed to look good. Normal people used a much simpler writing system.

Yes and no. Yes because many famous engineers have difficulty writing papers that are long and extended but no because in either case, they need to know how to write.
