Yes, in most diagrams this is correct if the wave is going from left to right. It depends on the wave direction but in most cases the wave is depicted as traveling from left to right. The wavelenght is measured from the top or crest or one wave to the other so it is usally drawn hoziantily so the wave length is always measured the same way.
