There are probably a few very rare guns that might bring in $500K at auction.
Generally a gun that was made in very limited numbers will be more expensive. Possibly a very rich person had a gun designed out of precious metal, jewels, etc..., such a collector's item, if one exists, would be worth whatever a person is willing to pay for it.
About half of it, the rest goes to taxes. :(
