Actually, there is a symbol that when interposed between two statements, means if the first statement is true than the second one is also true. It is a double lined arrow. See a picture here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Table_of_logic_symbols

so A=>B means if A then B

for example if (x=y and y=z) then x=z is the same as (x=y and y= z) => x=z
