List five uses or importance of algebra in your daily lives?

1. I use algebra for traveling plans via budgeting and bar graphs. I had a fixed expenditure and selected the best suited hotels (including location), diet, & locations to visit. I tested to see how much this math benefited me and, aside from having a very relaxing trip for a lack of concern about my expenses, I saved over $300 dollars compared to the predictions of my expenses had I not made these plans (the hotel I would have choose wasn't good, I would have bought the wrong groceries, and spent more on gas to visit places not worth the dollar). However, I maintain a weaker form of the work I put into organizing daily activities because I am overly conscientious about my expenses every time of my life, except this strong inclination I have to splurge while on vacation.

2. I used it to project the demanded grades to succeed, it was helpful in everyday college life to determine where I needed to place most of my effort and how I was going to budget my time effectively.

3. When cooking, I have to estimate how much I'll need to feed to each person and give accurate measurements for the ingredients.

4. I had a project for a while of determining the effectiveness of pest traps.

5. Lastly, while it hasn't applied to me, others use it for calculating calories, how much they burn, how much is gained, and the calorie range necessary to see the progress they desire.
