1) Double the number

2) Add 2

3) Subtract 1

4) Return to step 1) and repeat.

1 x 2 = 2 ; 2 + 2 = 4 ; 4 - 1 = 3 ; ..........7 x 2 = 14 ; 14 + 2 = 16.

Then the next number is generated by Step 3).. 16 - 1 = 15
