Pi is the circumference/diameter of a circle. The number is a constant, meaning that it will equal 3.14... no matter the circle. Pi as a base number for many formulas regarding to a circle including to it's area and radius. Pi's value is 3.1415... and it goes on, mathematicians are still finding further digits in Pi. One mysterious things they have uncovered is it's decimal digits never repeat in recognized way!
