Anything over 14" does not provide you with anymore accuracy, as the barrel tends to slow down the ball if it is to long!
No, if you go to a competitive barrel race we run like 14-16. For a beginner that is okay however, you have to start somewhere! :)
The standard barrel should be fine. However if you are more serious about paintball, but do not have the money for a new gun, a CP or similar one piece barrel 12-16 inches should improve your gun noticeably.
they will be about the same since they both have the same porting on them, between 12"-16" you wont see a performance or noise difference
