You need at least:
2 servos (rudder, elevator)
a receiver and transmitter that work together
a battery
control horns
some kind of foam for the body
a prop
a motor for the prop
landing gear (maybe not necessary)
But if this is a new hobby for you, you might want to check out the Champ RTF that has everything you need to start flying.

Both RC plane are awsome because they are both planes.
You could not make it with entirely cardboard, but you could use it for wings if you wanted to.
They are discontinued.but They still make the parts for it. The only way you can by the plane is if someone has one for sale.
Due to the small parts used to make an RC model plane, it is not recommended for use by a toddler as they can easily choke on them. Also, RC model planes are not all that durable. A hard crash is enough to break the plane AND your wallet.
