Let the length be x+4 and the width be x:
2(length+width) = perimeter
2(x+4+x) = 20
2x+8+2x = 20
4x = 20-8
4x = 12
x = 3
Therefore: length = 7 cm and the width = 3 cm
Area = length*width = 7*3 = 21 square cm
