In my experience, yes they do -- clearly. Sometimes, the pain caused is intentional; other times in spite of the survivors. I believe that there are far too many people out there, for whom life is so miserable, that the only way they can feel less miserable is to make someone else feel more miserable than they are. Whether the excuse/target is female bodybuilders or something else, they are the same people everywhere. It must really suck to be them; They aren't even worth the effort of pitying or hating, so don't give them that satisfaction.
I think some of them want attention from others and sympathy. They bring attention to their miserable condition in hopes that it will get others to feel sorry for them. Obviously if they were to improve their condition in life they would lose the sympathy too.
