1 mile
About five seconds.
A 'split' is the time it takes to run a portion of the race. Split times in the mile run are generally taken after 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, and 3/4 mile and are used to determine whether the runner is on pace to finish the race in the desired time or in a record time.
I do a mile in 3 1/2 minutes.
1 mile = 1608 meters, so they are pretty much the same
1 mile equal 1609,344 m. The conversion is only approximated because the man is not only an instrument and the relation is not absolute linear: time for 1500 m = 1500 X time for 1 mile/1609,344
One mile equals to 1 609.344 meters. Countries that use International System of Units that imported some contests such as a mile race or a quarter mile sprint rounded the mile to 1 600 meters and its quarter to 400 meters. For practical terms you might use the 1 600 m race time as the same as the one mile race time, but for precision you may use the full conversion rate bolded above.
Distance = rate * time time=distance/rate 1 mile / 565 mile/hr = 0.00177 hr = 0.106 minutes = 6.372 seconds
distance = rate * time 1 mile = 55 miles/hour * t t = 1 mile / 55 hours/mile = 1/55 hours or about 1 minute, 5 minutes, and 27 seconds
1 mile = 63,360 inches try googling it next time
1/4 mile time = 13.8 sec. / 0-60 mph time = 5.1 sec.
To calculate the time it takes to travel 1 mile at 80 mph, you can use the formula: time = distance ÷ speed. In this case, time = 1 mile ÷ 80 miles per hour, which equals 0.0125 hours. Converting that to minutes, it takes approximately 0.75 minutes, or about 45 seconds, to travel 1 mile at 80 mph.
