Afterwards, all of the patriarchs were "dwellers in tents" (Gen 9:21,27; 12:8; 13:12; 26:17). The life of a shepherd often required a nomadic lifestyle. These are mentioned throughout the bible, so it is difficult to give them all. Even God's "dwelling" was a tent while Israel wandered in the wilderness and up to the time that Solomon built the temple (1 Chronicles 17:5).
