When dividing a like variable or base number with a power to another with the same base or variable to a power all you do is subtract the number in the power. When multiplying all you do is add the powers.
The answer to the question depends on the set of numbers within which you are working. If you are working in integers, x2 = 2.25 has no solution. However, it does have a solution in rational numbers (x = 1.5). If working with rationals, x2 = 6 has no rational solution but it does have a solution in real numbers. Yet again, x2 = -6 has no solution in the reals, but does have a solution in complex numbers.

It might have helped to have some idea as to what "these" formulas" were.

it is very easy to prepare working solution from a stock solution we use the formula for this purpose which is: C1V1 = C2V2 C1 is the concentration of the stock solution V1 required volume from the stock solution C2 concentration of the working solution V2 volume of the working solution

Finding the logical connection would not be very helpful in working out an analogy.

Working solution is diluted to the concentration to be used in the experiment. This is opposed to the stock solution which for ease of calculation is often 10x more concentrated.
Blaming someone for a situation or problem does not usually lead to a constructive solution. It is more helpful to focus on understanding the root cause of the issue and working collaboratively to find a resolution or prevent future occurrences.
