Part of a turbine engine is the compressor. There are no others in aircraft.
In a car the heat usually comes from engine "waste heat". You just need to be running the engine. The compressor is part of the air conditioner, which is used for cooling not heating.
The compressor is located on the lower part of the engine and is driven by one belt from the crankshaft to the idler and back to the compressor...........
It is used as a compressor. It has the same advantages over a piston compressor as a gas turbine engine has over a piston engine. i.e. no valves, much lower part count and much greater efficiency.
No. The only compressor that will fit your 2000 Jetta is one with the same part number as your current one. They are completely engine-specific.
It could be the AC compressor. With the engine and key off, try turning the compressor by hand. The belt should be connected to a pulley that drives the clutch. With the engine off the cluth is disengaged so you should be able to turn the inner part of the compressor pulley even though the outer part is connected to the belt. If it won't turn at all, it's probably siezed and you need a new compressor.
On the drivers side lower part of the engine. right by the air compressor.
On the Yamaha outboard, the model number is located on the port, (left), transom mounting bracket. The transom bracket is the part of the engine that is bolted to your boat transom.
In the newer vehicles the serpentine belt drives all the pumps, compressor and the alternator on the engine.
do you mean the aluminum bracket holding the alternator broke at the bolt holes? do you know that there should be a steel bracket BEHIND the alternator also? when engine usually replaced, sometimes this steel bracket is not replaced and instead a shorter bolt is used to fasten alternator (3 bolts) to aluminum bracket. there should be a longer bolt which goes from the front of the alternator on the left side, thru the alternator and thru that steel bracket and into part of engine?? this part not clearly understood as explained to me by mechanic husband. he had the same problem and corrected when bracket kit purchased from local Chevy dealer; about $197 in Hawaii. hope this bit helps...
I'm assuming you have the brackets apart, or are installing A/C on a vehicle that did not come with it, and have aquired the bracket and A/C compressor. The operation is quite simple. The A/C bracket is held to the motor by 10mm bolts, thread size 10x1.5. i believe there are 4 of them total. after the bracket is secure, install the A/C compressor into the bracket. the pully side of the compressor houses 3 bolts 13mm heads. the rear side of the compressor houses 3 smaller 10mm bolts. Again, assuming you are working with a vehicle that has not had A/C before, you will need a new serpentine belt. part number for Gates brand is 755K5, or a Goodyear part number 5050755. To install serpentine belt route belt in the correct way, release the tention on the belt tentioner with a 14mm long handle wrench, make sure belt is in all the proper grooves along the pully's and apply tention by removing the 14mm wrench.
Caliper mounting bracket or steering knuckle. It depends on if the bracket is a separate part of the knuckle or not.
