before asking what is Hindu-Arabic numerals and roman numerals you should know what is numerals.

numerals are system of numbers which helps us to count almost everything.

now Hindu-Arabic numerals are numbers used and made by the Arabian and Indians

like example :- 1, 2,3 ,4 ,5,6,7,8,9 etc.

where as the roman numerals are numbers which look like alphabets example:- I ,II ,III,IV

V,VI,VII,VIII,IX etc.

the basic symbol of hindu-arabic numerals are

1, 5 , 10 , 50, 100, 500 ,1000,

romal numeral basics are:-

I , V , X , L , C , D , M

see don't you think roman numbers are alphabet?? I = 1 V = 5 X = 10 L = 50 C = 100 D = 500

M = 1000
