i knw 5 of his discoveries or contributions to science: 1)He emphasized systematic experimentation, and did mush to free chemistry from superstition and turn into science. 2)He invented over 20 labrotary equipments. 3) He was the first one to classify, purify, and isolate Mercury and sulfur as elements. 4) He discovered the citric acid and acetic acid. 5) He invented (aqua regia) one of the few substances that can dissolve gold. 6) He also paved the way for later Islamic chemists: Al Razi, Al Kindi........... 7) He dsicovered the processes distillation and crystallization.
