Alpha: Highly ionising particles that can not penetrate the skin, smoke or most substances. It's only dangerous when inhaled or ingested.

Beta: Is slightly less ionising but can penetrate air, layers of skin and paper. It's only slightly more dangerous than Alpha.

What sort of path will the alpha and beta radiation follow?

alpha rays follow north pole of magnet and beta rays south pole.

Can ultrasound waves are alpha beta or gamma rays?

No, they are unrelated. Alpha and beta radiation are particle streams, not waves. And gamma rays are electromagnetic waves.

How does the penetrating ability of gamma rays compare with that of alpha particles and beta particles?

Gamma rays have higher penetrating ability compared to alpha and beta particles. Gamma rays can penetrate through most materials, while alpha particles can be stopped by a sheet of paper and beta particles by a few millimeters of aluminum.

Are thegamma and alfa rays electromagnetic radiation?

The gamma rays are. The alpha and beta "rays" are not.

How do the electric charges of alpha beta and gamma rays differ?

Alpha rays are positively charged, beta negatively charged and gamma rays is an electromagnetic wave(like light) which has no charge. They have obtained their charges on basis of where they originated from within the atom.

What are radiation rays?

Ionizing radiations are alpha, beta, gamma rays, etc.

What are AphaGamma Beta rays?

Alpha, beta, and gamma rays are types of ionizing radiation. Alpha rays consist of positively charged particles (helium nuclei), beta rays are either electrons or positrons, and gamma rays are high-energy photons. These types of radiation have different penetrating abilities and biological effects.

What are the 4 radioactive rays produced?

You think probable to beta rays, gamma rays, alpha rays.

How would you list alpha particles beta particles and gamma rays in order of increasing energy?

Alpha, beta, gamma.

What were the rays emanating from uranium?

* Alpha rays (particles) * Beta rays * Gamma rays * Spontaneous fission neutrons

What are the relative velocity of alpha beta gamma?

The relative velocity of alpha with respect to beta is the velocity of alpha minus the velocity of beta. The relative velocity of beta with respect to gamma is the velocity of beta minus the velocity of gamma. The relative velocity of alpha with respect to gamma is the velocity of alpha minus the velocity of gamma.
