If the 4 day work week still gives the employee at least 40 hours then it is a pretty good deal for the worker because then they have a 3 day weekend. Providing that the work week starts on Monday and ends on Thursday. This is benificial to employees that have a bit of a distance to drive also because it saves an extra round trip to work. It benefits the employer by only having the lights on and machines powered up for 4 days instead of 5. Even though they are running the same amount of hours, generally it takes more energy to start the machines and light than to keep them going.
