The way I improved was by asking my teacher for a tutor number, ask the teacher for help and pay attention in class and study more and ask others for help . Hope that helps. You can also go for online math help. You get math help for all grades online.
Yes, I agree with the above idea. I think it is also necessary to do more exercises; thus you will be more familiar with the theories and process to solve the math problem.
My turn! The main thing that helps me be better at math is to understand how it works. Also, keeping yourself from using a calculator from time to time sharpens your skills.
I endorse all of these ideas, especially the last one. A good teacher certainly helps.
The key is understanding and only you really know how well you understand. You can do all the mechanical exercises and if you have a teacher who is content with that kind of ability, you may even get good grades, but you will not be able to go to the next level without understanding. in fact , you will most likely soon forget your mechanical skills unless you understand why they work and what they really do. A good teacher may be more useful as someone who can answer your questions when you get stuck,
than as a presenter , tester or motivator. Only you, yourself, can make math useful to you.
One further bit of advice- do not sign up for more advanced courses until you know that you have mastered the pre-requisites. For example, do not attempt calculus until you understand algebra and analytic geometry. Do not try general topology before you understand real analysis, etc.
Word problems (or applications) are probably the best to help you grasp the concepts involved in math. Try thinking up ways to use what you learn to solve problems you might run into in your own life.
Yes, math can make you a better muscian. Music is a logical and mathmatical language. Tempos, keys, chords all are more easily understood concepts if you understand math! keeping beats/time and composing will be easier for you if you understand and/or like math.
yes they do.
Do your homework, study for test, and pay good attention.
Doing your homework will not increase your brain, but it will help you to understand the material better. Practice makes perfect - and that is just as true for doing practice work like homework as it is for practicing a sport or physical skill.

You have to get good grades in math and English.
No.
If you are doing math that bores you, the boredom can make you sleepy. There are many different types of math, and some of these can be very interesting to those who understand them, but some types of math can be very boring.
If the possible exception to your low GPA is your math and chemistry grades, maybe yeah - you can. If your low GPA grades are represented by your math and chemistry grades - no chance.
