There's the commutative property of addition, which allows you to switch numbers around in an addition problem. 8+9 = 9+8 or a+b+c = c+a+b

The associative property of addition allows you to move parentheses about. (a+b)+c = a+(b+c)

The identity property of addition shows the following:

a+0=a

Dx1=D

The inverse property of addition shows this:

5 + (-5) = 0

There's no fun in playing it safe. Why not try something a little unhinged?

As your older brother, I've been where you are—maybe not exactly, but close enough.
