As per ANSI 12.2 does this simply mean a +/- 2% accuracy ?
The accuracy of any measurement depends on the care and equipment of the individual doing the measuring, and on the condition of that equipment used. The unit that is selected to report the result of the measurement has no effect on its accuracy.
Typing Dude is a good website to calculate your words per minute and accuracy. It's free and can be found at http://www.now1technologies.com/typetest
3 Sigma is 66800 defects per million pieces 6 Sigma is 3-4 defects per million pieces You can check out the number of defective pieces per million & the % accuracy for all Sigma levels in the six sigma conversion chart in the related links section
The standard score on a words per minute typing test is considered to be 60 wpm. This minimum score measures both your overall keystroke rate (how many keys you actually hit in the minute) as well as your accuracy. Therefore, if you hit 70 keystrokes, but made 7 errors, your score would be 63 wpm.
Yes as per ASME section IX the PQR is required to be qualified as per requirements but there is no relation with root opening.
ASME Section XIII does not define a minimum design pressure. Many vessels are designed for full vacuum according to the requirements of the code. A storage tank (API 650 or API 620) can be used in place of a pressure vessel provided that the gage pressure is not more than 15 pounds per square inch.
NO more the then the actual pressure / temperature rating as per NBBI /ASME
have seen one fired heater with asme u stamp. ASme recogbnises DF, direct firing however it excludes tube heaters per the follwoing form ASME VIII-1.U-1(c)(2) Based on the Committee's consideration, the following classes of vessels are not included in the scope of this Division; however, any pressure vessel which meets all the applicable requirements of this Division may be stamped with the Certification Mark with the U Designator:(a) those within the scope of other Sections;(b) fired process tubular heaters;(c) pressure containers which are integral parts

Schedule 80 means "Pipe Wall Thickness as per Sch.80 of ASME B36.10M". Pipe 80 means "3 inch NPS or 80 mm NB pipe as per ASME B36.10M". Hope that it will answer your query adequately. Regards, Bhatta

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Section IX covers the topic of Welding Procedure Qualification and Welder qualifications. This particular section of ASME does not address Non-Destructive Testing (NDE) personnel. To find the NDT recertification requirements for ASME applications, refer to ASME Section V (Nondestructive Examination), Article 1, T-120(e). This article will direct you to The American Society of Non-Destructive testing (ASNT). ASNT-SNT-TC-1A and/or ASNT CP-189 which are the primary documents that govern the certification and recertification of NDT personnel for each level of certification (Level I, II, and III) for each inspection process (PT, MT, RT, etc.). ASNT recommended maximum recertification intervals per ASNT SNT-TC-1A (9.5) are: Levels I and II= three years. Level III = five years. These recertifications can be completed by evidence of training or when deemed necessary by the empolyer's NDT Level III personnel. The certification and recertification guidelines are included in the employer's written practice documents.
