As an example, 15 is divisible by 3. This means that:* 15 is a multiple of 3* 3 is a factor of 15* If you divide 15 / 3 on a calculator, you'll get a whole number* If you divide 15 / 3 using long division, you'll get no remainder
This is all about factorising. Firstly yo have to find the biggest number that will go into both 15 and 75. 15 goes into both 15 and 75. Divide both numbers by 15, (15/15=1) (75/15=5) Therefore the ratio in its lowest terms is 1:5 If you can not recognise that 15 is the highest common factor straight off then look for smaller ones each time. e.g. divide by 5. Ratio = 3:15 divide new ration by 3. Ratio = 1:5
Divide it be 3: 15/3 = 5
equivalent fraction of 10 and 15 if you divide = 2/3 10 ÷ 5 = 2 15 ÷ 5 = 3
circle is 2d so, just fold it 15!
3/10. If you multiply by 10 yo divide by 10 to maintain the consistency.
Divide both by 5 15/90 = 3/18 divide both by 3 3/18 = 1/6
If you mean 1/5 of 15 is 3 it is because 5 will divide into 15 exactly 3 times
divide by 3
