Constants for numbers, variables for letters
In any addition sum, such as 3 + 2 = 5, the numbers 3 and 2 are the addends. The answer, 5, is called the sum.
In any addition problem, the numbers which form the "question" are the addends, while the answer is the "sum". In this case, the numbers 1 and 2 are the addends.
The operation is called addition.
Addition works by adding numbers together: 2+3=5. Subtraction works by taking numbers away from each other : 3-2=1.
I call them odd.
Integer addition is simple adding two non-decimal numbers together. For example 2+2 is integer addition.
They are known as odd numbers
The results of adding numbers are called sums. In arithmetic, when two or more numbers are combined through addition, the total value obtained is referred to as the sum of those numbers. For example, in the equation 2 + 3 = 5, the number 5 is the sum.
Let's say we have the addition problem 1 + 2 = 3 1 and 2 are the addends. 3 is the sum.
The answer to addition is called the sum.
The addition of 2, 3 and 5.
The answer depends on how the numbers are combined: addition, subtraction or multiplication.
